Cubs pull off another one

The Comeback Cubs? Say it ain't so!

For the second day in a row the Cubbies rally in the 9th off of Jose Mesa. After getting shut out for the better part of the game, the Cubs get a run off of Kip Wells in the 8th, and then two more off of "Senor Smoke" in the 9th to take a 3-2 lead. After yesterday's flawless save Dempster decided to bring out the gas can to the mound again today, loading the bases before getting a force out and then a double play to end the game.

Another great 1-run win for the Cubbies who come back home to face Ozzie Montana and the White Sox.

Speaking of comebacks, it appears Big Z will be a go for the weekend series against the Sox, starting Saturday's game. According to cubs.com Z had a good bullpen session today, throwing hard with no pain. It's reassuring to hear that Z is going to be alright after this elbow scare.

Go Cubs!
